Day1 : reached Udaipur, checked in to the resort, and since we had time we decided to take a trip of Udaipur city. Udaipur and its adjoining Kumbalgarh and Chittorgarh is laden with amazing forts and museums. Its more like the pride a maharashtrian takes when someone speaks about Shivaji Maharaj.

They are locals are very helpful and takes pride in the history of Maharana Pratap. Udaipur purely runs on tourism around Maharana Pratap and his loyal horse Chetak.
MAHARANA PRATAP 28TH JULY 2015 DRIVER
Also had a private cab at my service for all 3 days.I had asked for a cab driver who knows the place around as well as history. I had booked 3 nights at Club Mahindra Udaipur resort which is barely 20 mins from Udaipur Station. even after entering Rajasthan, the stations had vada pavs. even at stations you would find only kachori and vada pav. Limited food on the train but pretty delicious when you compare with the thali available on other north and south bound trains. Lunch you get to order and they get you normal and special thali. Its better to carry food if you are travelling with kids.breakfast they only had poha with tea. Travel from Mumbai to Udaipur: Took Bandra terminus - Udaipur junction train which leaves Bandra at 11.45pm in the night and reached Udaipur at 4pm next day. with slight drizzle the weather also is much better to go around places of visit at Rajasthan. With monsoon I decided to have a famiy trip. My 3 days at Udaipur Rajasthan has been one of destinations I have heard a lot about but never been able to plan a trip. Its more like the pride a maharashtrian takes when.
